TQ, are you going to do the dirty deed again this winter? I hope so,
but I understand if you've decided against it.

From the long term stuff I've read it looks like D&J might be
interesting here, but not like last year.

We did have a beautiful Fall, a lot of yellows and reds. Now they are
all laying in my yard, ugh!

Ahhh, All good things must come to an end. I greatly enjoyed the last
decade of contests.

Thanks for all the work you put in. Have a great winter, I hope you
get some snow.

Snow chances 'round here lookin'skimpy with la Nina looming large.
Lucky to get 1/2 normal (13").
Certainly won't be anywhere near last year's bonus snows.

As for the Contest...in many ways...hate to let it wither away after
all these years.
It's been fun...requiring more than a little time and effort...but for
reasons unknown...forecasting storm-total snowfalls across SNE and the
M-A never attracted all that much interest...present company
excepted...of course.

Have considered keeping the web log going with winter-related
reporting and commentary.
Been trying to figure out a way to marry it with home-brewing.

I'm sure I speak for others in thanking you for your efforts these
past years. I'll keep checking back and post any interesting
happenings snow wise in my neck of the woods.

It's been rather boring for the past month or so. Some rain and wind,
strings of sunny mild days and cool nights. We had a heavy frost last
night, but nothing to get excited about.

Have a happy Turkey Day!

I echo snowman's thoughts. Many thanks to TQ for running the contests
over the years. It was a great learning experience and challenge to
apply what little I know in the field of meteorology. The method of
scoring results was also unique to the online community as most
contests individuals offer are not truly reflective of the forecasting
skill (or lack thereof). I also got to like being the Buffalo Bills
of many contests! If you ever decide to restart it in the future, you
know where I live.

I suppose in a hundred years, or ten years, or ten hours, none of this
really matters. But at least I'd like to take a moment to pause and
reflect on it all.
