43" of snow IMBY since saturday 12/4. With possibly 6-10" more
tonight in a final snow orgy from lake ontario. I'm sure Dee has me
beat up with the Yupers but we can only hope to have as much snow as
Yuperville MI. On the other hand, I've had enough snow for one winter
already. Currently SN as a lake band redevelops overhead. Saw a
local met on tv talking about a potential "major" snowstorm for
Central NY late this weekend into early next week. And exactly what
the hell is this we are having - chickenfeed? Most of CNY has been
plastered - even down to the So. Tier w/ prodigious NW and WNW flow
aided by synoptic scale moisture from a retrograding low into QUE.
Next week not looking much different as the weekend storm may also
retrograde / stall into QUE. Though no two systems are exactly
alike. Particularly the wx results. If nothing else, it'll get much
colder next week - which has been the saving grace of this week's lake
assault. Temps mainly 20s and winds not all that bad...

Sux to be you...eh?
Will grant you it is a rather rough way to acclimate to met winter.
Watch...your season will be front-loaded.
Lakes'll be frozen over in no time if this keeps up.
