Operating under the newly developed Technical Services Branch, this is a unique opportunity to play a part in creating the foundation for a vital area of DER’s work. The Technical Service Branch provides restoration planning, engineering assistance, knowledge management, and other services in support of DER’s restoration programs, operations, and communications. Description: Division of Ecological Restoration (DER) seeks an experienced professional that is looking to make an impact on our planet. This position will develop and employ restoration planning and GIS capabilities, as well as cultivate the Division's expertise, resources, and collaborations. The candidate will work closely with other staff, as a part of the Technical Services Branch, to support the planning needs for a diverse range of restoration projects including wetland restoration, river and stream continuity, dam removal, cranberry bog restoration, and regional restoration partnerships. The outcomes of this work will build DER and partner capacity to identify and pursue high-value restoration opportunities at the landscape level and increase the pace, scale, and impact of restoration throughout Massachusetts.
