Are you a senior academic or early career researcher with a background in marine research and an interest in climate science?

We would like to invite applications for two remote roles we are currently recruiting for: Ocean Scientific Committee members and a Research Committee Specialist.

For our Scientific Commitee members, we are seeking academics to sit on our ocean-themed Scientific Committees. You will review incoming climate research projects for fieldwork funding, working beneath the panel chair and alongside three other academics and one non-academic expedition professional. The Panel are expected to meet virtually once a quarter to discuss the proposed projects. Pay is based on a day rate for each role, with an expected pay totalling 8 hours of work.
Deadline: 2359, 15th July.

For our Research Committee Specialist, we are seeking a masters, PhD or early-career researcher with excellent organisational skills and a strong commitment to advancing climate research initiatives. You will manage the Scientific Panels calendars, ensuring a smooth and efficient review process. You will serve as a point of contact for applicants, providing assistance and answers to inquiries regarding the review process, and manage external communications. Time commitment is ~2 hours/day but with the flexibility to be spread throughout the week. Pay is over the UK Living Wage of £100/day on a contractor basis.
Deadline: 2359, 8th July.

We are seeking individuals with diverse backgrounds, expertise and perspectives to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive evaluation process of incoming research projects requiring funding. All roles can be done remotely and we welcome applications from all countries.
