I just wish they would get him off the air already... He is a moron and
practically a "reporter for the NHC". Whatever NHC says , he says...
John hope has more insight that him , for cryin out loud.. Steve will
say that the projected track of florence will be this one day and then
change it the next day as if that was what he predicted all along...
WHY doesnt he say "ok viewers, i'm very sorry.. I fuc*ed up.. But the
track has changed" ... Instead he just acts like thats what he
predicted.. Send him back to NHC...Their the ones that need him..NHC
has done horribly this year on predictions... And NHC's modo
is "Whatever the computers models see, Thats what our forecast is". "We
have no brains at all.... The computers are the ones that do the
forecasting , not us... We have bird brains".

Here is an expert ain tropical meteorology, however this year has been
atypical in the world of Atlantic hurricanes. In previous years when
storms formed they tend to deepen when they were located climatoligaly
favorable areas. This year they formed there by with in days they get
sheared apart. Unlike an El Nino year they have been a decent about of
name sotrms. In an El nino year the shear does not let a storm form. This
year they are forming but the shear get them in due course even thou they
are in geographically located in reagons where Tropical storms tend to
deepen. So do not blame John Hope or the NHC they do a great job. It is
an atypical year in which we can all learn from.

The Weather Channel gets all their information from The National Hurricane
Center with their own angle on the situations going on. So it is know wonder
why Dr. Steve Lyons (who used to work at the National Hurricane Center/Tropical
Prediction Center) says what he says when he is on the air.

I think what bothers me most is when any of them at TWC say "they" have watches
or warnings up for whatever area. Yesterday "they" had watches up for Bermuda
for the tropical storm. THEY can not put watches up for anything. Why do they
imply they can? Maybe Mr. Lyons follows what he's told because some of the
others tend to blow things way out of porportion. ?? Who knows?

The Meteorologists at The Weather Channel say "We have Tropical Storm Watches
up for Bermuda" referring to that "we" have ourselves a tropical system that
may effect Bermuda in the next 24 to 36 hours.

They aren't saying that "we have issued Tropical Storm Watches for Bermuda."

TWC certainly does leave the impression that 'they' are issuing warnings and
watches for all kinds of hazardous and severe weather, which only serves to
further undermine their credibility with those people who know better.

Yes, I see what you mean T Q. They do say that the severe weather warnings will
red scroll on the bottom of your screen when you (immediate) area is under a
warnings (severe thunderstorm, tornado flash flooding; which in turn indicates
which National Weather Service Forecast Office issued the Special Weather
Statement.
