Hurricane Frances Landfall Forecast Contest

The deadline would be ~24 HRS before landfall, which based on the latest NHC
forecast, would be around 2 PM Friday.
Forecast elements:
Landfall:
1 - Lat / Lon.
Error measured in miles
2 - Date/time.
Error measured in minutes.
3 - Central sea-level pressure
Error measured in millibars.
4 - Over-land max wind speed and gust (in knots) at a METAR-reporting
surface station within 12 HRS of landfall.
Error measured in knots.
5 - Max storm total rainfall (any published, verifiable source, such as TWC,
CDUS41, PNS).
Error measured in inches.
Landfall + 24 hours
1 - Lat / Lon. Error measured in miles
Error scores for each element will be normalized, then averaged for the
final score. Low score wins.
When you picking your landfalling lat&lon, you might want to use this
application...

NHC/s 5 PM forecast stays the course with landafll expected around 2 PM
Saturday.
Last two runs from the EC have landfall in GA a couple days later.
MRF has been well E of FL for several days.
Plenty-o-uncertainty to go around.

Well, people AREN'T supposed to crosspost to both groups - it is specifically
forbidden in the n.w.m charter. I though I did so by mistake in this post,
but I only saw it here. Mistakes can happen, but it should not be done
intentionally.
