Low pressure developing at the junction of Warm Front, Cold Front, and
Occlusion.

If it's any consolation, I only use WAA and CAA for advection. There
are probably a wad of other acronyms, but I'd feel like a cad to use
them. :-)

Hmm.. Not so sure about that/// What is WAD then? WAD would be Warm Air
Advection, so CAD would be Cold Air Advection... Or I've seen CAA and
WAA used as well by some people.

Yup, you/re right about WAD and WAA, etc., but in this case, the discussion has
been about cold air damming (CAD). IMO, you/re more apt to see warm air
advection as WAA than WAD. Besides, an author discussing a change in advection
by writing 'CAD shoots WAD' wouldn/t read well in an era of PC-ness.

Oddly enough, when I don't use WAD for Warm Air Advection I have gotten
some heat from my peers. I'd use WAA and get a lot of confused looks. I
guess it is almost better to spell it out sometimes... at least I can
still use PVA and NVA...

OK--My next question is what is a triple point system and how is that
related to secondary storm development??? (With what I know now and
what I'm learning from you guys, I hope to make an intelligent
contribution--in a year or two!).

So long as you're not talking about the Southern Hemisphere.
