Islamic nations drain their lands of oil -- yet liberals

This is ridiculously untrue. No "liberal," or any sane American that I know
or know of, defends such barbarisms as you describe here. But you seem to be

Of course, "Christians" murder doctors, blow up things, hate people for
their sexual orientation, and are opposed to religous freedom as well.
The only difference is that, with a large numbr of Christians in the
U.S., we know that the ones who misbehave in these ways are a small
lunatic fringe and not representative of how most behave.
If you'd actually visit an Islamic country, you'd find the same thing:
people are by and large really nice and do not behave at all as
PENTBOM claims.

You believe that because a small minority follow these ideas that the
entire religion does? I believe it is a small sect maybe 1% of people
who practice Islam are the radicals. All religions have thier radicals
and extremists but the amount is so small it is not right to classify
the entire religion as bad.

1) Islam actually celebrates Women. did you know that during the
marriage ceremony, the man is obliged to agree a figure that his wife
can request on demand? it ensures that should the marriage be no
longer working, the wife has some financial security and can leave the
guy. This is a crontractual arrangment during the wedding vows. (a
Pre-nuptual agreement if you will)
For example, my wife can request £25000 whenever she likes (keeps me
in line believe me!)
2) It does not encourage clitorectomies. if you examine this closer,
you will find that this is actually a very cultural (as opposed to a
religious) thing. Islam does not encourage mutilation in any form
(shiites for example self flagellate - this should not be done at all)
3) Women doe not have to wear veils, many do not. again, this is a
cultural thing as much as anything. An example is that the taleban
would force men to have beards - this is not a religious requirement.

1) Islam is one of the most religiously tolerant religions in the
world. during the golden era of islamic rule, Jews, Christains and
Muslims lived in peaceful co-existance for several centuries. The
Crusades actually killed more christians and jews than muslims (belive
me!) Only the recent UK re-arrangement of the middle east after the
second world war caused problems. Muslims believe that Jews and
Christians are 'people of the book' and as such are our brothers and
sisters. we belive essentially the same things. Muslims can eat Kosher
Meat for example.

Muslims belive that it is wrong. Are human males biologically equipped
to mate with men or women. fundamentally, sex is to re-produce, men
cannot re-produce with Men. you can't tell me that we have been
designed to mate with the same sex? do you really belive that this is
natural? I personally belive that they can do what they like. I cannot
judge as I am not perfect. a long as it is not forced uppon anyone and
is done with agreemtn. Who am I to judge?

Islam does not encourage Suicide, the opposite is in fact true.
Muslims are 'required' to safe guard their own and other peoples
lives.
What you see here is essentally the same as americans/britsh, anyone
else dying for a cause they belive in. would you die to protect your
family. would you kill to protect your family? You know that they are
some thiongs woirth dying for. this is what you see.
here's an example. the US is pushing the world to bomb Saddam because
he is breaching UN resolutions. But the US is one of the biggest
fluters of UN resolutions does the UN decide to bomb the US because of
this?. there are UN resolutions in place with regards to Israel that
Israel is ignoring. should we bomb them? there are resolutions on the
kashmir issue, do we bomb India for refusing to comply?

Non-Islamic nations buy the oil. without it the world would cease to
function. everything works on oil. Oil is like any other natural
resource. mankind expilots natures gifts and uses it to it's own

with a capital C. Thus they must be "for" anything the
other side is against. Note that, while the Koran is

wrong in violating other precepts of their religion in
order to act on those views.
To answer your final question - no, of course Liberals'
views don't represent hatred of the USA. That claim
would only be arguable if the US were both an exclusively
Christian country, and was also entirely free of misogyny,
homophobia, racism, and environmental exploitation.
Neither is true. What Liberals' views represent is
inconsistency - almost exactly the same inconsistency
that, in mirror image form, is present in Conservatives'
views. The problem is polarized political doctrine,
not lack of patriotism.

Your (very popular) view implies that the content of every
religion is more or less the same. But did you study all
religions in depth or are you repeating politically correct
cliche?
Look at the religious founders and their first followers
like Christ, Budda and Muhammad, compare their teachings,
practice and how their religions have spread. Compare the
first century of Christianity with the first century of Islam
and first century of Buddism when the original enthusiasm
was strong and the memory of founder's teaching was fresh.

Spoken like a true American. I know many muslims and they are actully
nicer and less violent than some of the Christians I know. Not saying
Christians are all bad here just my observation from the people I know.
BTW. I just saw the inteveiw on Larry King with the three Medical
students who were held for 17 hours because a woman thought she heard them
planning an attack. This woman says she heard them talking in Arabic and
according to them only one speaks Arabic and other two don't understand it.
I think this woman suffers from the same thing many ingnorant Americans
suffer, they see an Arab and they automatically suspect them.
