Anyone else get assaulted by 'Local Edition' during the last five
minutes before the top of the hour?

I have Mediaone cable, in Medford, Mass. For the last few months
boston.rsn.com, or whatever, appropriates the human interest/lifestyles
time period after sports for it's weird idea of pogramming - basically a
quarter-screen of sport-oriented content and
commercian-within-a-commercial Sprint ads. The rest of the sceen is a
web-like thing that is more or less static.

I wonder if any one else shares my view that this is an awful abuse of
CNN's audience.

I have called Turner Broadcasting to complain - but they only take your
anonymous comment and supposedly submit it to people who will keep track
of complaints in the aggregate.

I suggest that anyone who dislikes this Local Edition nonesense call up
an complain (unfortunately, you must make a long-distance call
(404-828-1500). The more people who complain, the more likely the
feedback will have an impact.

Personnally, I've also minimized my viewing of CNN for this reason.
Perhaps a smaller audience will prompt them to look at this.

Hi, Lars! "ne.news" is really a discontinued newsgroup which is
not read by many people and may not exist on many news servers.
You would do better to repost your message to "ne.general" where it
will get a much wider audience.
