Stephen Venuti & Marc Herman - November 18th
at Cornerstone Coffeehouse

The Cornerstone Coffeehouse (located in the Second Congregational Church
of Winchester, 485 Washington Street) presents the sounds of
singer/songwriter Stephen Venuti on Saturday, November 18th. Opening
will be singer/songwriter Marc Herman. Stephen Venuti will also be
joined by friends Susan Levine and Bill Morris. Doors open at 7:30 PM,
and the show starts at 8.

Stephen Venuti is a Boston area singer-songwriter, and has performed at
clubs, coffeehouses, and radio stations across the state. His original
songs have a style reflecting the musical influences of The Beatles,
John
Prine, Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Elvis Costello. With lyrics described as
a blend of "humor and poignancy" and a voice described as having a
"compelling vitality", Stephen sings and plays acoustic guitar. He has
recently released Trouble, his debut CD.

Marc Herman emerges from the Cambridge folk scene with a playful spirit
and a knockout collection of original songs. He explores a world of
musical genres with the medium of acoustic guitar and voice. His rock
solid rhythms, memorable melodies, and stunningly fresh lyrics are
causing quite a stir throughout listening rooms, coffeehouses and
acoustic venues of New England and beyond.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $9 for students. They are available in
advance through MajesTix by calling 617-824-8000 (cash, check, or credit
card; no added fees; multiple-ticket discounts also available), or at
the
door (cash or check only). Coffee, tea, and a variety of desserts are
available.

The Cornerstone Coffeehouse is a volunteer-run series of concerts
sponsored by the Second Congregational Church of Winchester, MA. The
primary goal of the coffeehouse is to provide quality local
entertainment
in a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment. Proceeds from coffeehouse
events are either used to fund the work of the church, or are donated to
local charities.
