We are looking for someone with BOTH strong InstallShield skills AND
strong Java/JSP skills. My boss, the person actually doing the
hiring, is pretty firm on that point. He wants to spend some time
looking for the candidate who can fill all of the needs, and won't
consider someone who has one but not the other - at least not for a
while. InstallShield is the stronger requirement - both he and I have
some Java/JSP experience, and plenty of general dev/coding. But
neither of us have any InstallShield.

This is primarily a customer facing role where you will perform

Required business skills
* Complete fluency in English with good grammar, ability to
understand English speakers with different accents.
* Ability to present technical concepts in a clear and concise
fashion to non-technical people.
* Ability to gather and document technical requirements.
Required technical skills
* Technical Sales and Professional Services experience (at least 3
years)
* Proficiency in generating JSP code
* Strong experience with J2EE
* Ability to understand and modify existing ASP code
* InstallShield Professional or Developer experience
* Experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX as server platforms
* Experience with platforms such as Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc
* Experience parsing XML using the DOM (Xerces preferred)
Required technical knowledge
* HTTP protocol for requests and responses (Internet RFC 2616)
* Java language with emphasis on mathematical operations and byte
array operations required for Cryptography
* UNIX/Linux command line utilities and editors
* Windows desktop and server operations
The following are not required but are assets:
* Technical support or customer support experience.
* ColdFusion, Perl, PHP, or CGI/C++
* Visual Basic or Delphi.
* Web development methodologies and lifecycles or UML.
* Cryptography and Internet Security.
* Internet payment systems.
* Release management
* Windows server administration or MCSE
* Russian language fluency.
