Job Title: Product Support Engineer
Job Description:
Our client, located in the northwest suburbs of Boston, is looking for
an individual to join their customer service department, and provide technical
services and support for company products in varied operating environments.
You will perform customer problem investigations, evaluations, diagnosis,
and solution. You will be responsible for corporate problem management,
for providing network and system solutions, and for managing and effectively
resolving customer's problems. You will work with complex network applications,
with multi-vendor products, and with a variety of communication protocols
and software. Additionally, you will be expected to train and support less
experienced support engineers.
Required:
· Must have in-depth experience in the design and support of TCP/IP, T1/E1,
ISIN, and major routing protocols.
· Must have extensive experience with bridged/routed and switched network
design, in both LAN and WAN environments.
· Must have basic network management experience.
· Must have at least 3 years experience in customer technical support.
· Must have 5+ years of experience in the data communications industry.
· Must have a BS degree in computer science or engineering (technical discipline),
or equivalent employment related experience.
· Good communication skill for producing technical specifications
