develops key technologies and designs for applications in strategic and
tactical optical systems and continues to invest and pursue R&D and company
growth opportunities.
We have a exciting new opportunity for an experienced Business Development
Executive with 10+ years background in technologically differentiated
business development for the space marketplace. This position, which reports
to the Director of Technology/Program Development, requires the following:
* Experience in all phases of the business development process: sourcing,
cultivation, proposal support activities, and closure on opportunities.
* A business background with a proven ability that shows the capacity to
implement a growth strategy for SSG Precision Optronics, Inc.
* The necessary skills to develop and maintain working relationships and
negotiate agreements at executive levels within our partner and customer
community
* Target market segments include certain space elements (e.g., JPL, SDL,
JHU/APL, GSFC), tactical military labs and other high-end, engineering
intensive tactical operations requiring opto-mechanical, electro-mechanical
or electro-opto-mechanical systems or high-end optical components
* Sufficient technical background (opto-mechanical preferred) to enable
constructive interface with program scientists, project engineers, vps of
engineering, and other electro-optical community technologists
* Existing business relationships within the space target market segments.
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related technical
discipline. A MBA degree is preferred. Significant domestic travel will be
required.
