Bob,

I'm probably the only one supporting your decision to
yank NNTP. The future of the web is here. The GUI
age is here. Everything is going the way the web is.
why maintaining NNTP? Why this synchronous protocol
and not HTTP?

I like tin a lot because as I mentioned before, it
doesn't distract me from reading; I only use %2522q%2522,
space, and / to do all the work

Anyways. Lately, I'm seeing disconnects on the
Cambridge POP. Are you sacrifying modem maintenance
to upkeep the news server?

I guess you can just put some sort of accounting on
your news software and figure out whether you can tell
NNTP users to go or recommend them an alternative ISP
that does allow that...I don't think many people use
NNTP.

GIS is unique. If you just raise the price and keep
NNTP, i'll prolly leave. Don't know which one is the
alternative yet though.

So basically what you're saying, is that even though your connections
suck, you'll gladly stay with Galaxy, as long as they nix NNTP, but
don't raise their prices? Did I read that right? :) -Dave

On hotmail dot com, I am user "davec2".
