Seeking: 2 female housemates, roughly age 22-40. personality and lifestyle
compatible with existing 2 residents (one of whom is 12 years old).

Ambiance: a true year round vacation-- house is 1block from beach with ocean
views. many birds in good sized yard w/trees and small mammels Many big and
small woods within 10-20 minutes drive away, or some within walking /biking
distance. miles of shoreline, beaches, marshes, etc. all nearby.
cool ocean breezes wash over you while you lie in the hammock in the sun, under
the shade of the huge porch roof, petting the fluffy cat, listening to the
mockingbird, idly watching the clouds play, chattering with your roomies, and
eating toast with raspberry jam...

Location: south shore, between quincy center and hingham center on rte 3A. walk
to busline only; ten minute drive to T (quincy center, regular red line) or
commuter rail or commuter boat. free parking available at T's. driving to
boston: can take pleasant tree lined streets, or 93/95 easily avail. Most
locations are technically only thirty minutes away; 45 at rush hour. my commute
is pretty much the same time as when i lived in somerville or brookline.

House: very large two story house. built in 1904. beautiful artistic eclectic
design throughout. lots of wood. ceiling beams. lots of windows. light. space.
fireplace. gourmet kitchen, dishwasher, convection oven, breakfast nook, lots
of counters. one and half baths. big ole' soak tub. washer dryer. Huge wrap
around four sided porch/deck/outdoor rooms. large open plan living and dining
rooms. off street parking.

Bedrooms: this is a four bedroom house. all are upstairs.

one of the two available rooms is the master bedroom: medium towards somewhat
large size. upper deck off of it. tons of ocean view. medium sized closet/s.
baseboard radiator forced hot water heat. $625/month plus one fourth utilities.

the second bedroom: slightly smaller (medium sized). currently does not have
door to upper deck but will in future. ceiling fan. smaller closet. italian
villa style textured walls (like at gardner museum). some ocean view.
supplemental electric heat. $600/month plus one fourth utilities.

current occupants (your future housemates should you attempt this mission):
One: 35 yr old female artist/interior designer/construction manager person.
liberal, intellectual, unusual.
One: 12 year male old math/computer liking, monopoly-playing, quiet, smart,
sociable, peaceful, mature and fun person.
Two: elderly gender neutral cats. one is more doglike, one is more human like.
sometimes bossy. indoor-outdoor roaming. tendency to regurgitate furballs with
annoying regularity. otherwise quiet, pleasant, and companionable.

Yard: there is a pretty big yard and it is usually left to be very
natural/wild. if you are into gardening or landscaping there is Tons of
opportunity here for you to play in the dirt and have a huge amount of control
over the look and feel of this area.

Labor for rent trade: for the right person in the right circumstances, the $600
room is available instead for a work trade of two full (7-8 hour) days a week
of labor with no rent and no utilities (except Token contribution to heat and
phone). the work available ranges but is primarily: interior painting,
administrative assistance, and home organization. at least half of it would
have to take place during the days (but any day) and at least half also would
take place off site (but transportation could be provided). this might be a
'permanent' or 'short term' arrangement and could be negotiated.

finally: i'm sorry, but no two-person 'teams' of any nature unless you both
want to and can afford to and would not resent the cost of taking on, both of
the two available rooms.

no large dogs but some Small ones, cats, or non traditional pets can definantly
be discussed.
