I need to get a picture framed. It wasn't expensive, but it is
nevertheless original artwork which I want to keep for decades.

Where can I get a good job done for a reasonable price? The piece should
be "floated" in the frame, if that is any help. West of the city is best.

BTW, just in case anybody is interested, the piece is an original BatBoy
comic strip, drawn by Peter Bagge and first appearing in the Weekly World
News.

Acton Framers Gallery, Goulds Paza, Acton, (978) 263-0574, has done
several challenging jobs for me and done them superbly. They're neither
cheap nor expensive compared with other quality frame shops IME. There's
also a large readymade frame store on 2A, House of 10000 Picture Frames
Inc., 141 Great Rd, (978) 635-0001; but I've never been in it and can't
say whether they would have anything that would suit your needs.
Sometimes a readymade frame is the right solution, but often it isn't,
as I'm sure you know. I've stayed away from Powers Gallery because they
treated me rudely the one time I inquired about framing; and given the
subject matter of the piece you want framed, you might encounter the
same sort of snobbery, depending on who is staffing the store that day.
