Brenda and I are meeting some friends to check out the newest DH park in the area, Thunder Mountain at Berkshire East in Charlemont. We'll be there at 10am Friday, us guys are going ziplining to start the day and we'll be meeting up with the women, who will be riding the lifts all morning, afterward to finish the day out with some freshly built DH runs. Come on out, GET SOME!

There are two things that humans are born with a natural fear of; heights and loud noises. We're currently two and a half miles in the air and when that door opens, it's going to get really loud. We're going to have fun!

Sounds like a blast. Have to get back into riding shape to make the next trip.

I had a good ime. Is clear they are having some growing pains and the trails are still a work in progress, however, I think there's a ton of potential and they've got a good start on things. Definitely worth the trip.

I had a great time on one trail. The trail is kind of like a blend of cats paw and hellion. It's tough to recommend going there right now considering how long of a drive it is and the competition that exists. But I think in a year from now, it will be a viable alternative to Highland. Dave

How "Easy" is the top to bottom beginner trail and is it complete?

It's very easy, 4 miles long and 100% complete.
