Hi Rando friends,
My wife and I are clearing out our house to prepare for a large renovation, and I have a couple bikes and some kit that I'm happy to give away. I thought I'd offer it to anyone on the NER mail list. My hope is this goes to some rando or friend who will use it for themselves, their family, or a close friend. It's fine if it's a second, fifth, or even 10th bike.
Bikes:
- 70s era Raleigh Grand Prix -- original paint, saddle, cellophane bar tape, and (unusable rubber). It's a classic, and I bought it from the brother of the original owner a few years ago for like $200. This was going to be built as my Eroica bike, but then I was fortunate enough to get a great Richard Sachs from that era.
- Ladies carbon Roubaix Elite from about 2010, for someone about 5'4". I think it has an Ultegra triple on it. Pretty lightly used.
3 pairs of lightly used MTB style cycling shoes, from two years ago when I was on the quest for the perfect shoe (eventually settled on Shimano S-Phyre).
- Giro Vector 45.5 EU - I think I had one ride on these, slightly too small for me
- Specialized Recon 3 46 EU -- These fit pretty well and I had a dozen rides, but on a 300k the tongue was biting into my ankle so I abandoned them.
- 2FD "street" shoes -- Never ridden! I thought I might use these in the gym as they have a slightly flex sole. But, I like my S-Phyre too much!
