Just a note that the Portland 400k/200k are fast approaching -- I drove the course over the weekend and things are looking good, including the weather forecast!  Fingers crossed.

Ride page with updated GPS tracks and registration is here: https://ner.bike/nersite/?p=55
The only real route change is that we will be starting at Anderson/Woburn train station and finishing at the Residence Inn near it, due to unavailability at our usual hotel when we were doing planning, so the first and last few miles will be a little different.

I also could still use more volunteers, either in Woburn or Portland; please ping me if available.

Also, hold off on loading your GPSes for another day or so; we have a generous offer of a better Portland control option and are rerouting.  :)

Okay, you can load your GPSes.  I've also cleaned up the ride page a little to make it clear where this year's start is -- the Anderson/Woburn train station, dark and early!  There's a bathroom at the train station but nothing else at that time of day.

Hey folks,

Heads-up that I am imminently cancelling my 6/13 6:33pm Amtrak from Portland to Boston with one bike spot. Potentially helpful if you were hoping to take the train back after the 200K tomorrow and haven't yet made alternate plans (200K cut-off time is 5:30pm, end location is approximately 5miles from the Portland train station. 6:33pm is the last train of the day).

Hey all,

I always put together a list of helpful mileage points and text it to myself for longer rides.  Thought I'd share in case this is helpful to anyone else.  It doesn't take the place of cue sheets, just an abbrev version for quick glances during the ride.

40 Dunkin & store
46 Water only
59 Lil's in Kittery, food & bathroom

Thanks, Rick. This is super helpful.
The only note I have is a 0.1 mile detour to the vegan restaurant Veggie Life in Well, ME at mile 169 where I plan to have dinner, assuming I get there before it closes at 8. Otherwise Subway it is!

So jealous of everyone riding tomorrow. This is my all-time favorite 400K that never disappoints. Family plans in my neck of the woods, but I’ll be thinking of you all. Enjoy!
