Tsun is planning to preride the 600k starting this coming Sunday (June 11th) at 4:30am from Woburn.  If you are interested in preriding, please contact him (or me) - you do not need to be able to volunteer day-of on the 600k to keep him company.

Also, please do sign up as soon as you're sure if you would like to ride the event; registration is open until 8pm Thursday but the sooner we have a reasonably accurate count of riders, the easier some of the planning for food etc is.

Thank you,

Sarah & Tsun

Just to be very specific.  I will leave Anderson Woburn Laz parking lot at 4:30am on Sunday to attempt a preride of the White Mountain 600km ride.  My intended overnight will be in Portland/Scarborough area at around 1am arrival. Drop me a line if you are interested.

Everyone, thank Tsun for his diligence; the updated route is ready for download on the ride information page!  https://ner.bike/nersite/?p=4591

There is an alternate route skipping most of the dirt, but it was all in good condition (and nicer than some of our potholey roads, although Tsun also discovered a lot of lovely new pavement) during the preride.

The weather is awful today so I am wondering how many riders are now expected in Portland.

I am very willing to come to Portland later today but ask if NER still needs help in Portland.

Thanks
Peter

We have 12 riders on the road.  It doesn’t really get much easier to support with fewer riders because mainly the need with midnight shift help is to let the core volunteers get a few hours sleep so we can drive safely the next morning.  But it’s your call; we could use the help but would be able to manage without it.
