Hey NERds. Looks like Google has made some changes to their group settings that make it harder to join. If you have a Google account and log in using it, you should see an to "Ask to join" button on the NER Discussion group (https://groups.google.com/g/ne-randonneurs/) or I can add you directly if requested.

If you have a non-gmail email or are not logged into Google, the option to "Ask to join" seems to be gone. In the group tools I can send invite to that email address and it sometimes (but not always) works. If all goes well, you'll get an email with a link you can click finish the joining process. (The "contact group manager" button isn't working at all for me.)

You don't need to join the group to read messages but you need to be subscribed to post or get messages via email, mailing list style. The list is fairly low traffic, just few messages a month, but we do use it for announcements and chats about rides so it's worth reading if you plan to ride randonneuring events in New England.

With that said, feel free to email me (jakekassen -at- gmail -dot- com) if you'd like to post to the discussion group and don't see the option or are otherwise having a problem.

OK, now back to planning for the Fleche. :)
