VT 400k June 29, Montpelier, VT

All, the VT 400k will be starting this year in Montpelier, VT. Location TBD, but we will either be at the High School or the Park and Ride - which are withing 1/2 mile or so of each other.

Start time is 6:00am - an hour later, pending out new start location further along our existing route.

Pre-ride / course check will be happening in the next week. Cues, etc. will be available sometime during the week before the ride, depending on if there are any changes, and what I might need to tweak for controls / open close times.

Sounds great, Mike. My registration's in the mail. Will there be any convenient place to throw a tent or park a car to sleep in before and after for those of us coming from a distance or does anyone familiar with the area have a motel recommendation?

I'd say I'll meet you at the start - but I have a non profit directors meeting in Chicago that weekend. You'll be in good hands though with the ride leader.

Hotel options:

Comfort Inn and Suites at Maplewood - 4+ miles from the start. All downhill to get started, likely demoralizing to climb back up after.

Econo Lodge (feedback has been 'its got a bed and bathroom)

Capital Plaza (where the politicians and lobbyists stay - $$$$)

Camping... not sure. Little River State Park - but its not really convenient in and out.
