Hi,

The 6 Gap ride in VT  has over 11,000' of climbing over 129 miles.  All these climbs could be integrated into a 8k600k.  I wouldn't send anyone over Lincoln (on account of pitch and the gravel) on a 600k myself.

Very best with this effort!

Hello, this does not relate to existing rides or leading rides, but something else-John D’Elia 1146 here-a few of us have ridden the New England super six and really enjoyed it-now there is a bunch of 600k rides with 8000 feet of climbing sprouting up so that people can ride hilly challenging rides and earn credit for certain medals like the 10000 award, that requires on of these to earn it-and it would be possible to take parts of the super six that we did and to convert the route a little bit to make one and possibly two 600k rides in New England with the needed 8000 climbing feet and they would be nice scenery and great tough rides. We were wondering if the group would want to consider the route or routes that we have and set up organized brevets for next year or year after? John

I do have a public plea to let someone else run the spring 400km. I will do it if no one wants to on May 31.

If anyone is interested in leading a ride in 2025, please get in touch! We're putting the final touches on the 2025 ACP schedule (rides with RUSA-only certification can be added later) and if you'd like to organize, now's the time to speak up!

Good afternoon,

2nd attempt

I would be interested in a 600km 8k offering...

After doing my first year of these events and understanding about
pre-rides, I am hoping to volunteer for more events.

Thank-you,

Just to clarify -- 8k meters of climbing, not 8k feet. 8k meters is a
little over 26k feet. The current White Mountain Getaway route is a little
over 18k feet.

A 8k600k could definitely be a thing NER does - we do need to put that
information into the schedule when creating it (the route does not have to
be ready, but the ride needs to be marked as intended to be 8k600k.

I think running it as a separate event from the main NER 600 makes sense;
if there is anyone interested in helping lead the event, we can calendar
it. (I could potentially be ride leader day-of, but I'd like someone more
familiar with the area to be leading the route design and figuring out a
feasible/affordable overnight option. This is both true of a potential
8k600k and other events - if people are interested in volunteering to get a
route in full shape so that a leader just has to "show up", I and some of
our other Boston-based volunteers can potentially lead a lot more rides
than if we're driving long distances to scout roads far from home every
weekend.)

There is a spreadsheet of dates for potential events -- if you're
interested in a link please email me directly (I don't want to post it
publically since there's no protection on it.) Right now the only thing
we're committing to is running an X distance on X day (with 8k600k
basically a special "distance" category) -- we can determine routes later.

And, obviously, if people are not trying to use events for ACP awards, just
RUSA ones, we can add many more events later; if someone is interested in
running something but nervous about committing to a date this far out, talk
to us later about a RUSA event!
