Anyone interested in sharing accommodations Friday and Saturday night near the start in Bethel?

Hi Robert.
There seem to be limited options for hotels/motel/airbnb nearby. You might consider Four Springs campground in Royalton  https://www.fourspringsfarm.com/campground.php. Some of us have stayed here in the past. The tent spots have nice platform and are pretty nice. I've done that a couple times. I know Chip C has stayed in the cabins, which I might try if I go this year - still on the fence.

Highly recommend Four Springs for camping. Very quiet, nice location, rideable distance from the start in Bethel. On the way back, wicked gravel climb to really empty the tank.

I did look at this cute AirBnB on Camp Brook Road about 4miles from the start, which is now open for booking this weekend! https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1456360803967733581

This looks even more rustic than the campground.

Anyone else interested in staying at the campground? Seems fun as a group. Less fun to sit by a campfire with only a heady topper for company.

I'm camping at Allis State Park. Although I love Four Springs, there is a hill at the state park where I can get some radio points.

Radio points? Is that a new Strava category??

I will stay Four Springs if I can manage getting away this weekend.

Wow, what an awesome idea. Might be a nice way for me to get back into operating as well.

The forecast now calls for a pretty good chance of rain on Saturday, predicting a half inch total. Bring fenders if you're coming.

We will be using the eBrevet app for controls on the Six Gaps. This is not required; you can use a paper card if you prefer. However, it does make my life as the organizer a lot easier if you use it since I can keep track of who has passed through the controls. You need to install an app on your phone. Instructions are here and more details are here.

Also, please, please text or call (my number is on the paper cards) if you are abandoning.

The usual dire warnings about brevets apply in spades to the Six Gaps: this is a difficult ride and if you find yourself unable to complete it due to exhaustion, weather, mechanical failure or just Not Having Fun it is up to you to find your way back to civilization. We do not provide sag support. Having said that, I will have a bike rack on my car and I'm not completely heartless.

Thanks again everyone and I'm looking forward to a great day in the north country!

Sorry for spamming, but there is more than one "eBrevet" out there; the one you want is on both the Apple Store and the Google Play Store. Search for "eBrevet" by "CTNadovich".

Never mind. I can see the registered riders in the ebrevet app.
