We are announcing two awards this year: the NEPARC Award for Excellence in Herpetofaunal Conservation (AEHC) and the NEPARC Community Conservation Award (CCA)! The open nomination period for both awards begins today and closes July 9, 2021. The nomination forms are attached to this email.
The NEPARC Award for Excellence in Herpetofaunal Conservation is given to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in the northeast region of PARC. The award recognizes someone who has worked with regional partners to make significant achievements for conservation of herpetofauna by preventing loss of species or their habitats or has educated others to further the NEPARC mission.
The NEPARC Community Conservation Award is given to recognize an individual who has made a considerable contribution to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in a particular state or limited geographical area within the NEPARC region. The award recognizes someone who works with partners to advance herpetofaunal conservation efforts at a state or locallevel where achievements have contributed to preventing the loss of species or their habitats, or who has educated others in furtherance of the NEPARC mission.
