Hi NEPARC,
Here's another friendly reminder that there are three award opportunities happening right now! Please see below and the attached PDFs for information about the awards, award criteria, nominating process, etc.
Please help us recognize and celebrate some deserving individuals!
------------------------------------------------
Award for Excellence in Herpetofaunal Conservation. This Award is presented annually by Northeast Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (NEPARC) to recognize an individual who has made significant contributions to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in the northeast region of PARC. Nomination form(s) are due by May 15th.
Community Conservation Award. This Award is presented by Northeast Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (NEPARC) to recognize an individual who has made a considerable contribution(s) to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles in a particular state or geographical area in the NEPARC region. Nomination form(s) are due by May 15th.
PARC Increasing Professional Advancement (PIPA) Award. To recruit and support members from all backgrounds, particularly those from historically minoritized and intersectional backgrounds, PARC's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Task Team (PARC DEITT) created the PIPA award in 2020. Each year, PARC DEITT reassesses the status of DEI in the field of conservation and herpetology and adjusts the PIPA eligibility requirements accordingly. In 2024, the PIPA program will focus on applicants who self-identify as members of racialized minority groups. Applications are due by May 10th.
