Seeking NEPARC steering committee members

[Northeast Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (NEPARC)]

SEEKING NEPARC STEERING COMMITTEE MEMBERS

We are currently seeking nominations or self-nominations for individuals interested in serving as a Northeast Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (NEPARC) Steering Committee (SC) member.  The term for this position is at least one year with no maximum. The primary duties of individuals serving as SC members are to attend monthly teleconference calls (most months for approximately 1 hour) to discuss NEPARC business and/or annual meeting planning, assist the Co-chairs with strategic planning and priority setting, and to communicate with NEPARC working groups, particularly in promoting continued action on NEPARC projects between annual meetings. SC members may also represent NEPARC at regional/local herpetological related conferences and events.

We currently have multiple openings available for the NEPARC SC.  New SC members are elected during, or in this case, just after the annual meetings through nomination by Co-Chairs, current SC members, or other members.  Voting will be conducted online using a list of meeting participants from the past five years. If you are interested in nominating someone or yourself, please send name and contact information, resume, along with a paragraph summarizing your interest and experience with NEPARC that can be shared on the voting platform to NEPAR...@gmail.com with the subject line “NEPARC SC” by close of business on September 30, 2021.
