Hello NEPARC,
We are seeking three new members to contribute to our Steering Committee!
Our current Steering Committee membership is comprised of state agency (46.7%), academia (33.3%), zoos & nature center (6.7%), consulting (6.7%), and graduate student (6.7%) representatives. Anyone is welcome to apply, and we encourage folks from underrepresented sectors to submit applications.
By joining the Steering Committee, you will help make organizational decisions, assist with annual meeting planning efforts, contribute social media content, and help advance herpetofauna conservation in the Northeast. Generally, steering committee members are expected to participate in monthly (online) meetings and email exchanges and serve for at least one year. We currently meet one Wednesday per month from 3-4 pm, but timing typically changes once we bring on new members and/or with changes in academic semesters.
To apply, please send a brief (~1 page) statement of interest and blurb about yourself to nep...@northeastparc.org by the end of Friday, October 31st.
