Hello NEPARC,
Zoo New England is seeking applicants for a Seasonal Diamond-backed Terrapin Field Technician, a position that is part of the Buzzards Bay Terrapin Conservation Field Team composed of personnel from both Zoo New England and MassWildlife.
Job Description: The seasonal Diamond-backed Terrapin Field Technician assists with targeted inventory, research, and management programs to conserve the state-threatened Diamond-backed Terrapin (Malaclemys terrapin) and assists with outreach to landowners and terrapin survey volunteers. The Seasonal Diamond-backed Terrapin Biologist works as part of a Buzzards Bay Terrapin Conservation Field Team composed of personnel from both Zoo New England and MassWildlife. The Seasonal Terrapin Technician supports inventory, research, and conservation initiatives with a specific emphasis on Buzzards Bay and the “South Coast” region of Bristol and Plymouth counties, Massachusetts. Further, the Seasonal Diamond-backed Terrapin Biologist works to complement a Regional Conservation Needs (RCN)-funded initiative throughout the Northeastern States.
Zoo New England is an Equal Opportunity Employer by Choice.
