Its time, Portland!..
Its time to grab this movement by the horns and make it your own. Its time to participate in your own democracy and to gather the voices of the 99%!
You are invited to your newly revived Neighborhood Assembly. Many people from your own neighborhood will be there to learn what we all can do to make our community concerns known and to transform them into action based solutions.
There will be plenty opportunity to find a task or to join a working group and to support this community movement.
Come, open your heart and share your feelings, perspective, and opinions about our current economic and civil rights dilemmas and about Occupy Wall Street in general.
Come, and build trust and solidarity with your neighbors who have been abused and neglected by a broken governing system.
Lets, finally, be the change that we all would like to see in this world, and lets be that change in our own communities and your local Neighborhood Assembly.
NORTHWEST PDX Assembly:
Will gather on Saturday, January 7 at 5-8pm @ McMenamin's Chapel Pub (430 N. Killingsworth). You may purchase non alcoholic drinks and appetizers. If you would like to order a full meal, let me know and I will ask the kitchen to be prepared for dining. Children are welcomed.
WEST PDX Assembly:
Well be gathering at the Northwest Public Library(2300 & NW Thurman) on Saturday, January 7 @ 4 to 5:50pm. The library will close at 6pm so we will continue our discussion across the street from the library at Mc Menamin's where a huge reserved table will be waiting for us. Children are welcome.
SOUTH EAST PDX Assembly:
The SE assembly will also gather on this day at 3pm at the SEIU building on 60th & Foster.( if any one can send to me more detailed info on the SE assembly, I will post it.)
These assemblies will be consistently gathering every week on saturday, unless changed by the consensus of the group.
To my beautiful human family, its time to return to our human selves and be activated to this cause of service for the vulnerable, poor, elderly, the youth, the ethnic minority, the unemployed, the uninsured and the disenfranchised. We cannot wait for the system to address our grieviences any longer. WE are our own government. We have the final say so. We are a diversity of demanding voices that must, and will be heard. WE are the 99%! Lets occupy our neighborhoods!
If you have any questions or further concerns, please contact me, I'll be thrilled to assist you! :-)
