Good conversation in the livestream lead to a good idea for a Themed
march..

Jedi vs Sith, occupiers dressed in Jedi garb charge the Death Star
(Wells Fargo Tower) in mock street theater, and do battle with other
occupiers dressed in Sith garb along with storm troopers. I think it
could make for an interesting afternoon. Anyone else willing to join
in on making this actually happen?

I've had a very similar idea. I think it would be awesome, but costly.

I think it would be awesome to use this tactic to stand with the riot cops as stormtroopers and sith and pretend to be helping them. It would be especially awesome if you have a Vader and Sidious to march with them as well. Maybe have some jedi in the mix that get crushed by the empire.

Again it would be costly. It's 120$ for stormtrooper boots, 45$ for stormtrooper gun, 5$ for gloves, body suit 40$, and that's just the beginning. You have to fabricate the armor and helmet, if you don't want to pay full price. If you are wanting to buy good quality stormtrooper outfits, they can be close to 1,000$. Sith and Jedi costumes are a lot easier to create, but you would need a someone that can make costumes.

If you can get the funding to get even 10 stormtroopers maybe those resources would be better utilized somewhere else. I am actually trying to pull something together that will possibly make things like this easier in the future. Maybe putting it towards something like that might be more useful?

Really like the idea, just been questioning it's feasibility for a few months now.

I was thinking of making the Jedi outfits out of like white or tan bed sheets, and the sith out of black, or whatever sinister clothing one may have XD lol. But yeah I feel that a cheap solution would be to just wing it, not go full out professional grade material. I could use the OccuCar with the PA horns to play the Imperial march XD Would be fantastic street theater. Do it around the Elk on Main street :)Even if we had the Sith dress all in black and the Jedi dress all in white, it would still be a good reference and a great PR spectacle :) I am more than down with helping organize and purchase light-sabers and other materials as long as the cost wouldn't be too high. I think this is definitely do-able within the next month. And people who wanted to go and purchase their own costumes would be more than welcome to. I may have to bring this to an action meeting and see what we can do with it.

I like it, Kyle! I was just saying to someone the other day about how the parallels between our society and Star Wars have never been greater! "So this is how democracy dies... To thunderous applause..."

The siths should have some identifying signage... "1%," "More for me, less for you," etc. We could have a brainstorm session with just sign ideas. :)

The only problem is going to be finding enough Star Wars garb for everyone who wants to participate. Also - will there be light saber duels? (We can lend at least two!)
