Food service purchasble items

Happy Friday!

Does anyone know if you can create a "Miscellaneous" purchasable item with a variable price? 

Our food service manager would like a button on the POS terminals that would allow them to enter the price of the item rather than have it assigned to the button. They want to try out some new ala carte items and change them out week by week.

I can not say for sure but I don't think so. We have specific things on our screen as well as prices basically from $0.50 to $2.50 every $.50 or so just as buttons to use for that reason.

Hi, I am not sure if this topic is the same as what we experienced with attempting to use a “no-charge” purchase item.  We tested this once in our sandbox and realized that the food service staff could not change the no charge price from the POS terminal UI.  We were told there was no option for the cashier to adjust the purchase price amount from the POS PC or override the charged amount.
