Registered Student Never Showed

We had a student do online registration at our school over the summer in July. However, he never showed up on the first day of school and has not since. We are yet to receive any type of records request from another school even though the family has told us they are moving out of state. We have kept him enrolled and in our system, though. Has anyone ever had this happen before? And do we need to continue to keep him in our system (counting against our attendance, receiving our daily attendance robot calls, etc.) if he never came to school at all?

Thanks for the reply, Barb! What date would you use for it? Could I end date him with a 205 on our first day of school?
