Dear All,

I have got a point to be discussed in our group.

We all know how to calculate the safe distance or Cordon off area for Gamma.

But how are they calculating for X-ray...........????????????????

Waiting for ur replies

Dear all..
According to IAEA  safe distance is @0.75 mR....for X-ray it is to best by choosing surveymeter,......

In the equipment specifications it is given that "Radiation leakage at 1m from the focal spot is < 10mSv/hr above 200Kv".

Can we use this value as RHM while calculating safe distance.

Or should we consider this as the radiation intensity at 1 mt for the 300Kv source....?

that is leakage radiation not mR..
we need to calculate mR @ 1 meter then we will apply insq. law.....
