Dear Teja,
Unfortunately one make up compressor was exploded three days before at Daelim EPC-4 site at Yanbu.
So they want hardness test and to be tested if required for another three compressor and pipings.
Can you recommend to what kind of test need to remain three equipments and pipings?
I need urgent your comments for above.
I will preparing for quotation for above Hardness test. it will be daily base.
let me know possible date of Technician and Equipment mobilization for above Hardness test.

Dear sir,
As I understand, they want to check for other compressors those are stand beside of exploded compressor, for that we need
1. Type of fluid inside the compressor (like oxygen or gas or ammonia, each one may cause to explode while piston have any lubricant with improper casing).
2. Carbon content: we need to check the carbon content as its heated, for that we need to do both Brinell and digital hardness for our confirmation and to check the mechanical properties like hardness and toughness.
a. We can recommend to use Spectrometer to detect carbon percentage if they need.
b. We can recommend In-situ metallographic to check the grain size and grain boundaries.
3. If they quenched with water after firing may leads to alter its mechanical properties.
We can provide technician at 6th February with machine , but better includes Mobilization, de mobilization charges in the quote.
