The Fargo Police Department Arrests Suspect in Connection with Disappearance of Isadora Wengel
Joshua Alexander Hite was arrested for Murder and Tampering with Evidence
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – On Tuesday, February 10, at 1:33 p.m., The Fargo Police Department, with assistance from the Metro Street Crimes Unit, arrested Joshua Alexander Hite in connection to the disappearance of 25-year-old Isadora Wengel. Wengel was reported missing on January 7 to the West Fargo Police Department. Since that time, a joint investigation into her disappearance has been ongoing.
Based on the evidence and information collected as part of this investigation, probable cause was established to arrest Hite for the charges of Murder and Tampering with Evidence. Hite, a 21-year-old Fargo resident, was arrested outside of his apartment without incident. No additional information is being released at this time. A news conference will be held to provide an update on the investigation at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, in Gateway Commons at FPD Headquarters (105 25th St. N.). The news conference will be broadcast and live-streamed across The City of Fargo’s access channels, TVFargo.com and FPD social media.
The Fargo Police Department is continuing to ask for the public’s assistance if they have any information regarding Wengel’s disappearance.
