Cass County Canvassing Board Certifies City of Fargo Election Results
Newly elected officials will take office July 1 and will be sworn in during the July 6 City Commission meeting
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – The Cass County Canvassing Board met Monday, June 22, and officially certified the results of the City of Fargo municipal election held on June 9, 2026.
Based on the certified results, Josh Boschee was elected mayor of Fargo, and Nikkie Gullickson and Chad Peterson were elected to the City Commission. All three will serve four-year terms beginning July 1, 2026.
Boschee, Gullickson and Peterson will take part in a swearing-in ceremony during the City Commission meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday, July 6, in the Commission Chambers of Fargo City Hall, 225 4th St. N.
On June 9, voters also considered a ballot measure related to Fargo’s Infrastructure Sales Tax. The measure passed with 72.9% of voters approving an extension of the 1% sales tax through 2048. The tax helps fund street, water, wastewater, flood protection and drought improvement projects across the city of Fargo.
