Fargo City offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4, in honor of Independence Day
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – The City of Fargo offices, Fargo Cass Public Health, Municipal Court, all Fargo Public Library branches, MATBUS offices and the Ground Transportation Center will be closed for the Independence Day holiday on Thursday, July 4, and will reopen to the public on Friday, July 5.
MATBUS will have no services running on Thursday, July 4; regular routes will resume on Friday, July 5.
Garbage and recycling routes will be collected as follows:
Monday, July 1: Collected on regularly scheduled day
Tuesday, July 2: Collected one day early (Monday, July 1)
Wednesday, July 3: Collected one day early (Tuesday, July 2)
Thursday, July 4: Collected one day early (Wednesday, July 3)
Friday, July 5: Collected on regularly scheduled day
Residents are encouraged to place their bins on the boulevard by 8 a.m. on their scheduled collection day to ensure prompt pickup. Please be aware the shift in route schedules may cause a slight delay in collection. The Fargo Sanitary Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be closed on Thursday, July 4.
The public lobbies of Fargo Police Department Headquarters (105 25th St. N.) and Fargo Fire Department Station 1 (637 NP Ave.) will be closed on Thursday, July 4. However, full police and fire protection will continue during the holiday.
