West Fargo Police Department accepting applicants for 2026 Citizens Police Academy
|
|
(West Fargo, N.D. – Feb. 10, 2026) The West Fargo Police Department is accepting applications for the 2026 Citizens Police Academy. This session will run from 6 – 9 p.m. on Tuesdays from March 10 to May 12. Applications are due Monday, March 2 and are available online.
This 10-week program is designed to allow citizens to experience the daily work of the department. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of experiences including classroom training, tours, ride-a-longs and other hands-on training.
The Citizens Police Academy serves as an educational tool for residents as well as an opportunity to strengthen the relationship with the community.
Interested participants must be a resident of West Fargo or currently employed in West Fargo and 20 years of age or older. Only chosen and notified applicants are able to participate in the program. Citizens Police Academy participants are not trained or qualified to act as law enforcement officers. |
