Fargo Police Serve Search Warrant in Connection to West Fargo Police Missing Person Investigation
Detectives and Investigators continue evidence processing with assistance from partner agencies
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – On Friday, January 9, at approximately 6:08 p.m., The Fargo Police Department (FPD) with assistance from the Red River Valley SWAT team served a search warrant at the 4400 block of Calico Dr. S. in Fargo, ND, in connection to a missing person case initiated by the West Fargo Police Department for 24-year-old Isadora Wengel.
During the West Fargo Police Department’s investigation, information led officers to believe that evidence related to the case may be located at an apartment in the 4400 block of Calico Dr. S. While SWAT served the warrant, the team utilized a flash-sound diversionary device, breached the door of the residence and one individual was detained and has since been released.
Fargo Police Detectives and Investigators continue to actively process the scene for evidence, and the investigation has expanded to include the Fargo Landfill. To ensure all relevant evidence is collected, the FPD is working closely with City landfill personnel to search the specific area where trash from the Calico Dr. S. location would have been disposed.
The FPD is being assisted by the West Fargo Police Department and has also requested assistance from the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation for additional resources.
The Fargo Police Department is committed to conducting a thorough investigation and will provide updates as new information becomes available. At this time, no arrests have been made and there is no active threat to the public. No additional information is available at this time.
