Special SBHE Agenda Posted

A group from the NDUS office, including Assistant Attorneys General, looked at the requirements to keep the public informed of upcoming meetings. We determined the ND Secretary of State’s (SoS) official public meeting notices website provided much more functionality and was a better service to the public. In addition, it complies with open meeting laws, ND Century Code Section 44-04-20, specifically subsection 4. The great part about the SoS site is that you can sign up for email notifications, RSS feeds, and calendar invites. None of those are possible with the NDUS site. Additionally, if you are signed up for notifications, as soon as an update is made to the meeting, the SoS site automatically notifies you.
