Armstrong to deliver remarks, welcome Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs to G2G Conference
BISMARCK, N.D. (JUNE 2, 2026) – Gov. Kelly Armstrong will deliver remarks and welcome U.S. Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Billy Kirkland to the eighth Government-to-Government (G2G) Conference on Wednesday at the Bismarck Event Center.
Armstrong will address the G2G Conference during the opening ceremony, which begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by Kirkland’s keynote address at approximately 10:30 a.m. An enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, Kirkland was confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the 15th Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs on Oct. 7, 2025.
The two-day conference brings together tribal leaders and elders, state agency leaders and staff, statewide elected officials, local leaders, federal officials and legislators and is hosted by the North Dakota Indian Affairs Commission office, led by Executive Director Brad Hawk.
