Job Service Welcomes Hundreds to 17th Annual Construction Job Fair
Bismarck, ND – Job Service North Dakota’s 17th Annual Construction Job Fair connected nearly 275 job seekers with more than 47 employers Tuesday at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Fargo.
Job Service holds the job fair every year to help connect job seekers with employment opportunities in the construction industry. “There’s no slowing down with construction in the Fargo area,” Fargo Job Service office manager, Carey Fry said. “Our region had more than 300 job openings in construction and extraction posted online at jobsnd.com in February. This job fair is a great way for job seekers to speak directly with potential employers, present their résumés, and interview on the spot.”
Employers were hiring for positions from electricians, heavy equipment operators, and framers, to concrete finishers, CDL drivers, and satellite installers – and everything in between. Fry said, “I’d say this job fair was a huge success. Employers filled the job fair booths long before the registration deadline and the turnout was strong. It’s a win-win event.”
