The Fargo Police Department to Hold News Conference on Arrest of Homicide Suspect
The U.S. Marshals Service took Tyrque Jones into custody in Minneapolis
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – The Fargo Police Department would like to inform the public that on Wednesday, December 3, at 12:09 p.m., Tyrque Jones (20-year-old Fargo resident) was arrested in Minneapolis, Minnesota, related to the ongoing homicide investigation of Azeem Holmes from August 3, 2025, in downtown Fargo. The arrest was made by the U.S. Marshals Service North Star Task Force based in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota.
The Fargo Police Department will hold a news conference at 3:30 p.m. today in Gateway Commons at FPD Headquarters (105 25th St. N.) to provide information regarding the arrest. The news conference will be broadcast and livestreamed across the social media platforms of The Fargo Police Department and The City of Fargo, as well as The City’s access channels and TVFargo.com.
