Fargo Public Library to Host Music Event with Conductor Jack Norton on Friday, July 17
The show is open to all ages and will be held at the Dr. James Carlson Library
FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA – As part of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, the Fargo Public Library is hosting “Prehistoric Beats” an all-ages music event on Friday, July 17, at 11:30 a.m. at the Dr. James Carlson Library, 2801 32nd Ave. S. Kids of all ages are invited to attend and travel back in time as Conductor Jack plays live music on guitar, ukulele, harmonica, kazoo and more – all while introducing youngsters to the world of music. Conductor Jack is an Emmy Award winning children's educator, YouTuber and entertainer. He sings family folk songs and original children's music that promotes reading, literacy and having fun at the library.
This event is part of the Fargo Public Library’s free 2026 Summer Reading Challenge that runs through August 15. This all-ages program offers a summer filled with stories, weekly special events, performances and activities for kids, teens and adults. Anyone can participate by reading, attending events and completing challenges. The Fargo Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge is sponsored in part by the Friends of the Fargo Public Library.
All Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Adults must accompany children ages 9 and younger.
