Nde-Ibenyi, Biko ni!

I am writing to not only support and fully endorse the candidacy of Chief (Engr.) Fidelis Ishie for the chairmanship of Ukwuani Local Government Area, but also canvass support for the said candidacy.

Chief Fidelis Ishie's credentials are well-known. He is a well-educated man, and represents a different class of candidate. He studied civil engineering at the University of Lagos, and became a very experienced senior project engineer whilst working at Shell. In one person, we find an avid social bridge builder, a technocrat, a businessman, civic society leader, engineering entrepreneur, a man of high intellect, family man and multi-culturalist; all rolled into one. I believe that these qualities would make him a good leader. With an eye for engineering detail and design, this man knows exactly where a culvert is required in order to improve drainage runoff and ensure road sustainability. He will know about constructing and maintaining roads and other infrastructure including community water supply and environmental sanitation; to ensure a structured local development. For somebody that achieved very impressive academic credentials, this man will know about revamping the local schools system, and fix our dilapidated primary schools.

Nde-Ibenyi please let us put a round peg in a round hole for once to ensure the measurable and sustained progress of all the communities within Ukwuani Local Government Area. Let us put political party issues aside and focus on the technical credibility of individual candidates. Let us support Chief (Engr.) Fidelis Ishie, a true son of Egba-Oma; a true son of Ukwuani.

Mbene-ni.

Yours sincerely,

Sylvester Ogbolu-Otutu
