Please my people - we must understand that the process of selecting Okpala-Uku is based on longevity coupled with many other important spiritual factors of eligibility.

Only true male descendants of an autocephalous clan - 'complete', and 'spiritually clean'; with 'a good life record' make it to Okpala-Uku based on 'pre-destination'.

A State Government or House of Assembly cannot bestow any of these attributes or criteria on anybody - as to enable such persons fulfill or reach this 'pre-destined achievement'.

Any person who becomes the Okpala-Uku of Umu-Ebu is the living, first free-born son of Ebu, hence the 'Ebu'; because the spirit of the father is in the son. By this wisdom, anybody who claims to be the 'Ebu of Umu-ebu' when there is an 'Okpala-Uku of Umu-Ebu' is not the real Ebu.

These ersatz kings are being selected based on 'artificial criteria', and as such would not survive for long, talk-less of a king ever graduating to become Okpala-Uku eventually.

It remains to be seen whether the ersatz kings will meet both the eligibility and other spiritual proofs and life conditions that will enable them become Okpala-uku in the long-term.

Let us leave it. There are many secrets in life, hence there are no Kings in the Highland of Kings (Ukwuani-bu-Anieze). If you create artificial kings, those 'secrets' will kill off the artificial kings over time.

You become a king if/when required because you have royal blood in you - because you are born that way and inherited the blood from the beginning; and not because government says so, then makes some law and pays you money.

Therefore, this problem will be resolved through natural processes.

I hereby reiterate my warning to all Ebedei descendants not to engage (or involve themselves) in any efforts to create artificial kings for Ebedei. There are many unspecified punishments which I will not go into here. "Those who have ears let them hear" for "a word is enough for the wise".

What you are envisaging can happen but in such a situation,a very rare occurrence, the King would assume the two roles as both the Ebu and Okpala-Uku. Stepping down or demotion would not arise!

1. If a king is in throne and OKPALA-UKWU comes to his turn what happens?

2. The OKPALA-UKWU is very cultural and has transcended times immemorial -------- I guess the king will take the OKPALA-UKWU post since this post is nonnegotiable ------- which means he is equally demoted after taking all the juicy and plums of kingship post. Would what I envisage happen?

3. Will he now as an OKPALA_UKWU be answerable to the new king? (if he would agree to climb down, demoted, descend back to so to say FLOOR MEMBER? Do you see the cancer so planted therein?

Dear All.
Umuebu-Ukwuani LGA ,Delta state  set to install Ambr.Ekeruche as the Ebu of Umuebu as a traditional ruler in place of Okpala-Uku today.
The resolution to change from the Okpala-uku was passed in the Delta state house of Assembly last month see copy and paste below:
Click link:

Delta House passes Fiscal Responsibility Bill
24-04-2015
The Delta State House of Assembly has passed the fiscal responsibility Bill.
The passage of the bill followed its third reading at plenary of the House, presided over by the Speaker, Rt. Hon Peter Onwusanya.

The Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Hon Johnson Erijo, in a motion had moved for the second reading of the bill which was item five in the order paper of session.
Hon Erijo, in another motion, moved for suspension of the House rule 77 to 84 to enable it take the third reading of the bill and the subsequent passage. Both motions were unanimously adopted.

A new section 58 was inserted which states that ‘until the coming into force of the principal law, all circulars, orders, guidelines and regulations issued by the State and applicable as at 28th day of July 2008 to fiscal matters in the state shall continue to apply without any further assurance’.

Also passed at plenary of the House was a bill to amend the Delta State Traditional Rulers Council and Chiefs Law, 2006, House bill 52.

The Deputy Majority Leader of the House, Hon Johnson Erijo, who introduced the bill for second reading, said the only amendment was schedule two of the principal law.

Hon Erijo stated that in the schedule, item seven was being deleted and replaced to the effect that the Okpala-Uku of Umuebu was substituted with the Ebu of Umuebu, in Ukwuani Local Government Area.

In his contribution to the debate, Hon Sam Obi, representing Ika North East constituency, said there was no petition before the House challenging the substitution of the title of Okpala-Uku to Ebu of Umuebu, hence the need for passage of the bill without further delay.

The votes were unanimous as no member spoke against it. Sessions 77 to 84 were subsequently suspended following motion to that effect to enable the third reading and passage of the bill.

High blood pressure is called the silent killer because it often has no warning signs or symptoms, and many people do not realize they have it. That is why it is important to get your blood pressure checked regularly.
The good news is that you can take steps to prevent high blood pressure, or to treat it if it is already high.
