Why: The Trump budget will propose massive cuts, and we are hearing more about gravely troubling Congressional cuts and reconciliation instructions that are expected to affect Medicaid, SNAP, SSI and/or other entitlements, as well as damaging cuts to NDD programs and massive tax cuts.
Experts at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Coalition on Human Needs and Center for American Progress will update you on timelines and expected proposals and will discuss strategies for fighting these cuts.
Who should join: Staff from national organizations that work on federal budget/appropriations issues, including those working with all the budget coalitions: NDD United, SAVE for All, Clean Budget Coalition, Children's Budget Coalition, Children's Leadership Council, Inter-religious Working Group on Domestic Human Needs, and others concerned with the full range of domestic needs.
