A new opportunity to learn more about the Trump budget, organized by the Coalition on Human Needs. Please join!
Call for National Groups Working on the Federal Budget:
Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 24, 4:00 p.m. ET
Please call (844) 224-7906
Conference ID: 27704193
Why: The Trump budget slashes Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and SSDI. It all but eliminates the Social Services Block Grant, and does eliminate home heating and cooling aid and the Community Services Block Grant. It cuts the EITC and Child Tax Credit. Low-income housing, job training, education, environmental protection, the CDC, and rural health programs are all harshly cut. The budget calls for $3 trillion in cuts to programs that help low-income individuals, families, and communities while giving $6 trillion in tax cuts to millionaires and corporations.
What do we do to prevent this bleak attack from moving forward in Congress?
This off-the-record call is for people working on the budget for national groups - you'll hear from experts at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Center for American Progress and the Coalition on Human Needs.
Please join us.
Note: This call is for national groups; there will be a webinar for state and local advocates on Thursday, May 25 at 1:00 p.m. You can register for the webinar “The Trump Budget and What's Ahead in Congress: What Every Advocate Needs to Know” here.
