54th Annual Archbishops' Trophy Game Returns to Empire

“Vancouver's longest high school football rivalry takes to Empire
Field Friday November 5 2010’’



VANCOUVER, BC –Notre Dame Jugglers will host the Annual Archbishops'
Trophy game against cross town rivals the Vancouver College Fighting
Irish, Friday November 5th 2010 on the turf at the PNE's Empire
Field. The game will be the 54th in the annual contest that first
started in 1957 on the natural grass of the original Empire Stadium.
The last Archbishops' Trophy game played in Empire Stadium was a 26-0
victory by Vancouver College in 1988. The series is tied with 26 wins
for each school and 1 tie.

Fan Entrance is South West Gate off of Hastings Street

Media Entrance is South East Gate off of Hastings Street



The game will also be the last home game in the head coaching career
of legendary Notre Dame Head Coach George Oswald, who has been at the
helm of the Juggers since 1977. Coach Oswald affectionately nick named
the "Joe Paterno of BC High School Football" has spent 46 years
coaching at Notre Dame.

In that time he has won 14 Provincial titles.


Notre Dame High School will host a homecoming event post game at the
school.
